Ellen: Hey everyone. I'm Ellen here @etrailer.com and we'll be taking a quick look at the replacement cap for your city water inlet, and it's going to come in polar white. This is going to keep out any kind of dirt, dust, or debris from getting into that inlet and then introducing it into your water system, something you definitely want to avoid as much as possible. It's a good idea to replace this, if it happens to fall off, which can happen. Let's take a closer look and make sure it's the right fit for your particular city water inlet. You can see it's going to be just this flexible rubber piece and it should be resistant to any kind of corrosion or wear over time.

It is going to plug right into your city water inlet. And it also has that tether to keep it from getting removed or to keep it from coming off whenever you unplug that to hook up to any water source.As far as measurements, total length is roughly five inches, a little bit shorter than that. About four and three quarters. The inner cap diameter is about three quarters of an inch, and then the outer cap diameter is about one and one 16th. The inner diameter is just going to be this space here.

The outer diameter will be this space out here. The inner ring diameter for that tether is about seven eighths of an inch, and it does have a little split there to help it go over that inlet.
